Dr. Turbyville joined Family Allergy & Asthma in 2012 after serving for 15 years in the U.S. Army.  His Army career included tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and he continues his service with the Kentucky National Guard.  He joins us from his most recent position as Chief of Allergy, Immunology, and Immunizations at Fort Knox. Dr. Turbyville is board certified in Allergy & Immunology.

Dr. Turbyville grew up in East Tennessee and earned his B.S. from the University of Notre Dame. He returned to the University of  Tennessee for medical school and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.  After 10 years as a general pediatrician, Dr. Turbyville completed a fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  In addition to his love of seeing patients, Dr. Turbyville enjoys clinical research and has published several articles in the medical literature.

Dr. Turbyville and his family live in Fern Creek.  In his free time, he enjoys playing the ukulele, fishing, and camping.
