Dr. Douglas Tzanetos sees patients in our Fern Creek, Dupont, Shively, Bullitt County, Bardstown, and Elizabethtown locations.
Dr. Douglas Tzanetos joined the practice in 2018 when Family Allergy & Asthma acquired Kentuckiana Allergy. Dr. Tzanetos received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University in 1994, and moved on to graduate school at the University of Kentucky, earning his master’s degree in clinical psychology. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Kentucky, where he also performed his residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics. He completed his fellowship training in allergy and immunology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in June 2009.
Dr. Tzanetos is a board-certified physician in three specialties, including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Allergy & Immunology. In addition to his work as an allergist, he serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Louisville teaching students who rotate through the allergy clinic.
Originally from Buckhorn, Kentucky in Eastern Kentucky, Dr. Tzanetos now calls Louisville his home. In his free time, Dr. Tzanetos enjoys reading, running, weightlifting, and backyard astronomy. He also loves traveling with his family, including his wife Deanna, who is a pediatric critical care physician, and their two daughters, Sophia and Katerina.
