Stephen J Pollard, M.D., F.A.A.A.I., C.C.R.I.

A native of London, England, Stephen J. Pollard now makes his home in Oldham County on the Ohio River with his wife, Mary Ann, and their children.

In July of 1979, Dr. Pollard, along with Dr. James L. Sublett, founded Family Allergy & Asthma (formerly Allergy & Asthma Associates) and is currently Research Director of Family Allergy & Asthma Research Institute.

Dr. Pollard is a 1975 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics and an additional two years as a fellow in allergy and immunotherapy at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.

Dr. Pollard is board certified in pediatrics (1980) and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (1983, recertified 1989), a conjoint Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is currently a clinical professor at the University of Louisville and takes an active teaching role in the education of the residents and medical students. He is also actively involved in clinical research, conducting over one hundred and seventy clinical trials with allergy and asthma medications and has authored several medical journal articles.

He is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association and the Jefferson County Medical Society; a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; a member of the Associates of Clinical Research Professionals; Southeastern Allergy Society; American Thoracic Society; a member of the Editorial Board - Pediatric Asthma, Allergy & Immunology and is a past-president of the Kentucky Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Elected by peers as One of Louisville's Best Doctors, Louisville Magazine 2001, 2005. Chosen by Consumer Research Council as One of America's Top Physicians, 2005,.2006,2008, 2009.

James L Sublett, M.D., FACAAI, FAAAAI, FAAP

James L. Sublett, MD, FACAAI, FAAAAI, FAAP, is Managing Partner of Family Allergy and Asthma. Dr. Sublett is also a Clinical Investigator with Family Allergy & Asthma Research Institute and Founder and Chairman of Allergy Zone, LLC, a company which focuses on the development and marketing of novel products that provide relief for people with allergies and asthma. He is also a clinical professor and the Section Chief of Pediatric Allergy at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY.

In addition to serving on numerous committees, Dr. Sublett serves on the Board of Regents for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology (JCAAAI), the ACAAI/AAAAI Joint Task Force for Asthma Quality Assurance and the editorial board for the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He was recently honored as the Gratis Faculty of the year (2005-2006) by the University of Louisville Medical School.

Dr. Sublett is a diplomat for the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He has delivered nearly 200 abstracts, lectures and presentations, is the author of 15 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and editor of more than 20 special articles. In the past three years, he has been involved with 27 clinical trials.

Dr. Sublett received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville and his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics and a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology in the Department of Pediatrics, Children's Hospital, University of Louisville School of Medicine.

Dr.Sublett has a special interest in Environmental Avoidance, Indoor Air Quality, and Building Science.

Timothy A Feger, M.D.,F.A.A.A.A.I.

Dr. Timothy A. Feger joined Family Allergy and Asthma in June, 1995. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (1991), is Board Certified in Pediatrics (1993) and Allergy and Immunology (1995). He has been involved with both laboratory and clinical research, and is the author of several medical journal publications, including a textbook chapter pertaining to allergy and asthma.

Dr. Feger is the Medical Director for Kentucky's yearly asthma camp. He is a member of the Kentucky Medical Association, Jefferson County Medical Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.

A native of Louisville, KY, Dr. Feger attended Trinity High School in Louisville prior to receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the University of Louisville, Kosair-Children's Hospital in 1993 and completed an additional two years of fellowship in June, 1995 at the Medical College of Georgia in allergy, asthma and immunology.

Dr. Feger and his wife, Michelle, have three children.

James W Parker, M.D., F.A.A.A.A.I.

Dr. James W. "Bill" Parker is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. While in medical school he joined the Army Reserves, and following a straight pediatric internship in Tampa, Florida, Dr. Parker entered active duty with his first overseas assignment in Germany. He returned to the United States, where he completed a residency in Pediatrics at Brooke Army Medical Center. After two additional duty assignments, the last in Germany again, he returned to the United States to complete a Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1990. He then served as Chief of Allergy at Martin Army Community Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia, for the next nine years, retiring as a Colonel in 1999.

Dr. Parker joined Family Allergy and Asthma in June, 1999. He sees patients in the Somerset and Monticello offices.

Dr. Parker is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (1976), the American Board of Pediatrics (1983), the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (1991), the American Board of Healthcare Risk Management (1994), and the American Board of Risk Management (1995). He has been active in clinical research, authoring several medical journal articles and teaching residents, medical students and physician assistants.

He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, a Fellow of the American Association of Certified Allergists and a member of the Association of Uniformed Services Allergist/Immunologists.

Dr. Parker and his wife, Mary, moved to Kentucky in 1999 after living in twelve states and two foreign countries while growing up in, and later serving in the U.S. Army. They have two children, Jay and Carrie.

Damon B. Coyle, M.D., F.A.A.A.I., F.A.C.A.A.I., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Coyle is Board Certified in both Pediatrics (2001-2009) and Allergy and Immunology (2003).

Dr. Coyle has worked with Family Allergy and Asthma since 2003, though he has been a patient since 1982! A personal history of childhood asthma and allergies led to a lifelong pursuit of helping others to prevent, manage, and mitigate their symptoms.

A native of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Dr. Coyle attended Campbellsville High School prior to receiving his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. His is a 1998 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at the University Of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. Dr. Coyle then spent two additional years in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, completing a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

He now makes his home in the Crescent Hill neighborhood with his wife (a local pediatrician) and their two busy boys.

He is a member of the Jefferson County Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Medical Association. He is currently the 2007-2009 president of the Greater Louisville Allergy Society. Jason W Guin, M.D.

Dr. Jason W. Guin is a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. After a year of Family Practice residency in Arkansas, Dr. Guin went on to three years of training in Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and subsequently completed a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Duke University Medical Center. He was active during his fellowship in allergy research and in the teaching of pediatric residents and medical students.

A native of Kokomo, Indiana, Dr. Guin attended his first two years of high school at Brebeuf in Indianapolis. He completed high school in Arkansas and is a graduate of Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Dr. Guin joined Family Allergy and Asthma in 2003.

Dr. Guin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology; Member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Bradley T. Rankin, M.D., FAAAAI

Dr. Rankin, a native of Clarksville, TN, merged his practice in Paducah, KY with Family Allergy and Asthma in March, 2010, after 21 years as a solo practitioner. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a BS in Chemistry, and a 1983 graduate of the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences School of Medicine in Memphis, TN. . He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis in 1986, and his Allergy/Immunology Fellowship in 1988.

Dr. Rankin is actively involved in educating the community through participation in lectures, continuing medical education symposiums, and asthma screening programs.

Also involved in organized medicine, Dr Rankin is helping to search for ways to provide better care for all patients in our state. He has served as President, Treasurer, and Secretary of the McCracken County Medical Association, President of the Kentucky Allergy Society, as a delegate to the Kentucky Medical Association's annual meetings, and as a Trustee of the first district of the Kentucky Medical Association. Dr. Rankin has also served as Medical Director of the West KY Community and Technical College School of Respiratory Therapy since 1989, and has also served on the McCracken and District Boards of Health.

Dr. Rankin is married to Norma T. Rankin, M.D. Together, they have two children.

Maria M. Petrick, M.D. FACAAI

Dr. Maria "Mima" M. Petrick joined Family Allergy and Asthma in April, 2007. She attended University of Tennessee-Memphis School of Medicine. After completing medical school, she served her internship and residency in internal medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis. During that time she was especially privileged to serve a rotation with "one of the most well-known and respected" allergy specialists in the country, Dr. Phil Lieberman.

It was Lieberman, a colleague and personal friend of prominent local allergist Dr. James Sublett, who inspired her to pursue Allergy and Immunology as a subspecialty.

Dr. Petrick evaluated many great programs, was very pleased to be accepted to her top choice, St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She chose the program in particular because of another prominent practitioner in the field, Dr. Raymond Slavin, who is known worldwide for his work with fungal diseases.

Dr. Petrick was raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and attended Memphis State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. Dr. Petrick went on to earn her Master of Arts in Teaching in 1988 and taught science for three years. During her summer breaks, she served as a Ranger in The National Park Service.

Dr. Petrick moved to Louisville from Los Alamos, New Mexico, where she served as an Allergist/Immunologist.

Dr. Petrick and her family, which includes her husband John and their three dogs Shiloh, Sydney and Zack, enjoy an active outdoor-oriented lifestyle which includes horseback riding, hiking, and camping.

Priya J. Warrier, MD, MPH

Priya J. Warrier, MD, MPH, joined Family Allergy and Asthma in July, 2009. A native of India, Dr. Warrier finished her medical school in Bangalore, India and went on to pursue her Masters in Public Health at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.

She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut, Farmington, CT and subsequently moved on to complete her Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Creighton University, Omaha, NE. At Creighton she was fortunate to train with Dr.Casale, the immediate past-president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. As a fellow, she was active in clinical research involving novel treatment strategies for allergic rhinitis and asthma.

Dr. Warrier relocated to Kentucky in 2009. Her husband, Dr Joseph Thomas, recently began his Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Kentucky. They are the proud parents of a one-year-old son.

In her free time, Dr. Warrier enjoys biking, hiking and practicing Yoga.

Deidra H Sanders, A.R.N.P.

Deidra Henley Sanders is a Louisville native. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, She received her BSN at Murray State University. She continued her graduate studies at the University of Kentucky receiving her Masters of Nursing Degree(MSN). She completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Spalding University. As a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Deidra gravitated to the specialty of Allergy and Asthma, having children with those diseases. Her extensive background as a Nurse and mother of asthmatic children, has lent itself to helping those families impacted by allergic disease.

Deidra is a recognized speaker on topics of allergy and asthma at both the local and national level. She is involved in planning the yearly Allied Health Program for both the Academy and College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Yearly, she conducts the local sponsorship of the National Asthma Screening Program for the ACAAI.

Her goal is to promote wellness and optimize the health of those individuals living with chronic health problems. Through expert management with a strong emphasis on education, Deidra hopes to normalize and enhance the quality of life for allergy and asthma sufferers.

Deidra and her husband, Rick reside in Simpsonville. Together they have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law , and one “baby” at home, a Boxer named Jordan.

Laura McElroy is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Asthma and Allergy. Her goal is to promote wellness, facilitate optimal treatment and education to allow patients to adapt to chronic health issues. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Spalding University. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing with special training as a Pediatric Nurse from the University of Cincinnati. A Nurse Practitioner is a primary health care provider who works in collaboration with a physician to deliver care to children and adults. Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who have completed additional education, have a Master's Degree or higher and have clinical training in a specialty area. Monica L. Bell, A.R.N.P.

Monica L. Bell is a certified family nurse practitioner with Family Allergy & Asthma. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. She received her Masters of Nursing specializing in Family Health from Pennsylvania State University. Monica has lived in Louisville, Kentucky with her three children since 1988.

Monica has over 30 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care. She was in the National Health Service Corps in the late 1970's working in rural West Virginia. Monica has also worked for the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VMAC) and in private practice. In addition, she instructed dental residents in physical assessment while at the VAMC, and was a member of the graduate nursing faculty at Spalding for seven years. Her current focus in on educating and caring for patients with allergies and asthma.

Christy Yates, A.R.N.P.

Christy joined Family Allergy & Asthma in 2000 after 18 years of critical care and emergency nursing, including obtaining board certification in these specialties, serving as critical care/ER educator then practicing 3 years in Family Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in 1979 and her Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program from Spalding University in 1997. She then completed a post-masters program from the University of Louisville in Women's Health in 1999. Christy is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by both the Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center (1997). She obtained her board certification in Women's Health by the National Certification Corporation in 1999. She is also certified as an asthma educator by the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (2005).

Christy has continued her interest in primary care by practicing in internal medicine and family medicine in addition to her specialty in allergy, asthma and immunology. She is a Senior Lecturer with Fitzgerald Health Education Associates, Inc., a national provider of Nurse Practitioner Certification Preparation and continuing education for nurse practitioners. She has presented and recorded numerous lectures at local and national level NP conferences. Christy also is on the Editorial Advisory Board for The Nurse Practitioner. She has mentored NP students for years and received an outstanding preceptor award from Spalding University.

Christy and her husband, Tony, have three children; Laurie, Kevin and David and a son-in-law, Alex.

Sally McGeehan, A.R.N.P.

Sally McGeehan is a certified family nurse practitioner with Family Allergy & Asthma. A native of Somerset, Kentucky, Ms. McGeehan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, and her Masters of Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. As primary health care providers working in collaboration with physicians, Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who have completed additional education, have a Master's Degree or higher and have clinical training in a specialty area. Ms. McGeehan is focused in our Somerset office and works closely with the physicians of Family Allergy & Asthma to help maintain our goal of being the leading caregiver for patients with allergies and chronic respiratory problems.

Terri Congleton, A.R.N.P.

Terri Carrico Congleton is a Family Nurse Practitioner for Family Allergy and Asthma. Originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, Terri has lived in the Greater Louisville area for six years. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Western Kentucky University and her Master’s in Nursing from University of Southern Indiana. As an advanced practice nurse, Terri strives for excellence in her practice through both a caring and curing approach. She seeks to partner with her patients in their health care experience. Terri works closely with the physicians at Family Allergy and Asthma to provide testing services, acute care visits and routine follow-up care with an added focus on education.

Susanna G. Field, A.R.N.P.

Susanna G. Field is a native of Louisville, KY. She received her Bachelor's in Nursing from the University of Louisville, where she graduated with honors and served as Vice President of her Nursing class. After working in Kosair Children's Hospital's Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for five years, Susanna received her Master's degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University, where she also completed her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. As a chronic lifelong sufferer of both allergies and chronic asthma, Susanna felt a strong desire to pursue a career in the allergy and asthma field. Having these diseases for more than 20 years has led to both a vast knowledge of the disease processes, as well as immense sympathy for patients and parents of patients with allergies and/or asthma. Susanna's goal is to give optimal preventative and acute care by providing testing services, seeing follow up patients and acute care visits, while collaborating closely with physicians. She hopes to enhance the overall quality of life for patients suffering with chronic allergies and asthma in a caring and efficient manner. Susanna lives in the Fern Creek area with her husband and daughter.
