Dr. Priya J. Warrier
Dr. Priya J. Warrier, M.D., MPH, joined Family Allergy and Asthma in July, 2009. A native of India, Dr. Warrier finished her medical school in Bangalore, India and went on to pursue her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA.
She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut, Farmington, CT and subsequently moved on to complete her Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Creighton University, Omaha, NE. At Creighton she was fortunate to train with Dr.Casale, the immediate past-president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. As a fellow, she was active in clinical research involving novel treatment strategies for allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Dr. Warrier relocated to Kentucky in 2009. Her husband, Dr. Joseph Thomas, is a Fellow in Cardiology at the University of Kentucky. They are the proud parents of two children.
In her free time, Dr. Warrier enjoys biking, hiking and practicing Yoga.
