Dr. James Sublett, co-founder and managing partner of Family Allergy and Asthma, suggests spring allergy sufferers do the following:

• Start medication, such as nasal sprays and antihistamines, if they’ve yet to do so

• Begin tracking pollen levels and limit time outdoor on high-pollen days

• Change furnace and air filters regularly (3 months)

• Spring clean early to help keep pollen outside
