Flu Shot Now Available

Flu Shot

We now have the flu vaccine at many of our offices, please call to confirm availability. The flu shot is available during regular shot room hours, with the last shot administered at 5 p.m. No appointment is required.

Who Should Get a Flu Shot?

The CDC recommends that everyone six months and older get a flu shot before the end of October, however getting vaccinated later is better than never, as the flu season typically extends into March or even later.  The risk of getting the flu is often greater for very young children, people age 65 and older, and people with chronic medical conditions, such as asthma.  The flu is a respiratory condition that can worsen the severity of those with asthma. Therefore it is important for those with asthma to reduce their chance of getting the flu.

Research shows flu shot is recommended and safe for those with egg allergies, even though the shot is manufactured from egg-based proteins.

What If I’m Getting an Allergy Shot?

You can receive a flu shot on the same day as your allergy shot. The allergy shot will be administered first, then after 30 minutes, the flu vaccine will be given.

The Cost?

For existing patients, we will bill your insurance company. We also administer the flu vaccine to non-patients for a $37 fee, and payment by cash or check is due at the time of the injection.

Call your local office to check availability! Ask any of our team members today for your flu shot!
